Nifty 50 Top Gainers, Losers On May 26: Bajaj Auto, JSW Steel To Zomato, UltraTech

The benchmark equity indices closed higher on Monday as it continued to rally for second session, amid volatility in domestic markets.

Bajaj Auto Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Trent Ltd. and Hindalco Industries Ltd. were among the top gainers of the NSE Nifty 50 on Monday.

Eternal Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Power Grid Corp. and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. were among the biggest laggards.

Bajaj Auto's share price closed at Rs 8,958 apiece, followed by JSW Steel, which closed 2.13% higher at Rs 1,030 apiece. Shares for M&M also stood out after rising 2.93% high and closing at Rs 3,075 apiece.

Zomato parent Eternal Ltd. was the biggest loser, slumping to an intraday low at Rs 225.65 apiece after a 5% fall. It closed in the red at Rs 226.65 apiece.

UltraTech could not cement its way to the top and closed lower at Rs 11,676 apiece. Sun Pharma extended its losses from the last session and fell 0.45% to close at Rs 1,676.10 apiece.

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 148 points, or 0.60% higher at 25,001 and the BSE Sensex ended 455.37 points, or 0.56% up at 82,176. During the day, the Nifty 50 gained 0.91% to 25,079.20, while the Sensex gained 0.94% to 82,492.24.
