Nifty 50 Top Gainers, Losers On June 16: HDFC Life, UltraTech To Tata Motors
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 227.90 points, or 0.92% higher at 24,946.50, while the BSE Sensex closed 677.55 points, or 0.84% up at 81,796.

Bharat Electronics Ltd., SBI Life Insurance Co., UltraTech Cement Ltd., HDFC Life Insurance Co., and Oil & Natural Gas Corp. were among the top gainers on June 16.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd., Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd., and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. were among the heaviest draggers.

Bharat Electronics stock rose to most, advancing 2.45% to close at Rs 403.85 apiece, followed by SBI Life which rose 2.43% to close at Rs 1,797.80 apiece, and then UltraTech Cement which was up 2.41% to close at Rs 11,495 apiece. HDFC Life and ONGC were also gainers.
Tata Motors was the biggest laggard, closing 3.57% lower at Rs 686.65 apiece, followed by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories which was down 1.15% at Rs 1,346.80 apiece. Adani Ports stock fell 0.31% at Rs 1,400.60 apiece, while Sun Pharma shares were 0.15% lower at Rs 1,685.30 apiece.
The benchmark equity indices closed higher, defying Monday blues and broke a two-session losing streak.
