(Bloomberg) -- Most U.S. consumers who own stocks expectcontinued gains in share prices in the year ahead, a Universityof Michigan survey showed Friday.
Among those who own shares, 62.3 percent said they see sharesextending gains during the year ahead, up from 61 percent in thesecond quarter and near the peak of 63.5 percent in the firstthree months of 2018, according to the report.
The survey showed that the proportion of households that ownstocks remained stable at 65 in the third quarter, which wasunchanged from the first two quarters of this year and up from64 percent last year and 63 percent in 2016.
