Lupin Share Price Gains After Q4 Profit Surge, Revenue Rise

Lupin's net profit surged 115% to Rs 772 crore, up from Rs 359 crore in the same period last year.

Lupin Ltd.'s share price rose over 2% on Thursday, after its net profit more than doubled in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025.

Net profit surged 115% to Rs 772 crore, up from Rs 359 crore in the same period last year. This figure exceeded Bloomberg's estimate of Rs 735 crore.

The pharma major reported a 14.2% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 5,667 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to Rs 4,961 crore in the same period last year. Bloomberg analysts had pegged revenue for the quarter at Rs 5,564 crore.

The company's Ebitda rose by 32.5%, amounting to Rs 1,321 crore, up from Rs 997 crore, surpassing Bloomberg's estimate of Rs 1,244 crore. The Ebitda margin expanded to 23.3%, compared to 20% in the previous year, and was higher than the estimated 22.4%.

Following the release of its fourth-quarter results, Lupin's board recommended a dividend of Rs 12 per share. This aggregates to a total payout of nearly Rs 550 crore, reflecting the company's strong financial health and commitment to returning value to its shareholders.

Shares of Lupin rose as much as 2.29% to Rs 2,118.90 apiece. They pared gains to trade 0.36% higher at Rs 2.078.90 apiece, as of 09:40 a.m. This compares to a 0.40% advance in the NSE Nifty 50.

The stock has risen 26.83% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 5 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 53.

Out of 37 analysts tracking the company, 23 maintain a 'buy' rating, 10 recommend a 'hold' and four suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month analysts' consensus price target implies an upside of 7.7%.
