JK Lakshmi Cement Share Price Spikes After Q4 Revenue, Profit Up

JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.'s share price spiked over 2% following the announcement of its fourth quarter results. The company reported a 6.6% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 1,897.62 crore, compared to Rs 1,780.85 crore in the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation rose by 4% to Rs 351.20 crore from Rs 336.52 crore. The Ebitda margin slightly decreased to 18.5% from 18.9%.

Meanwhile, net profit saw a rise of 17%, amounting to Rs 183.54 crore versus Rs 157.01 crore.

JK Lakshmi Cement, a prominent player in the Indian cement industry was established in 1982, the company has grown steadily, expanding its production capacity and market presence.

The company's product portfolio includes a range of cement types catering to various construction needs. Headquartered in New Delhi, JK Lakshmi Cement operates several manufacturing plants across India.

The scrip rose as much as 2.25% to Rs 885 apiece. It pared gains to trade 0.76% higher at Rs 872.10 apiece, as of 09:37 a.m. This compares to a 0.25% decline in the NSE Nifty 50.

It has risen 9.31% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 7.3 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 62.

Out of 21 analysts tracking the company, 12 maintain a 'buy' rating, six recommend a 'hold' and three suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies an upside of 0.2%.
