The upcoming week sees multiple companies declaring interim dividends for shareholders, including Cochin Shipyard Ltd., Hero MotoCorp Ltd., and ITC Ltd., as their boards announce financial results and allocate payouts.

Investors should note that the record date determines shareholder eligibility for dividends. The ex-dividend date, which precedes the record date, marks when the share price adjusts to reflect the upcoming payout.
