We recently conducted a channel check to determine demand situation across paint, jewellery , consumer staples and food services sector and conclude that -
1. Paint Industry is sustaining momentum with decorative volumes up by 20% with leading players volumes rising by ~25%, industry is looking at ~5% price hike expected from April 2021
2. Jewellery has seen sharp rebound in demand in March post tepid January and February
3. Biscuit demand is back to pre Covid-19 levels with demand for Rs 5/10 packs back on account of increased out of home movement
4. Demand for salted snacks and ice cream has grown rapidly in Q4.
