Should you buy shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. at the current market price? Have you lost the opportunity to buy stocks of Larsen & Toubro Ltd.? Is Asian Paints Ltd. a good choice from a long-term perspective? Should you sell shares of Suzlon Energy Ltd. at the current market price?

Lancelot D'Cunha, chief investment officer at Valuex Wealth Connect LLP and Gaurav Sharma, head of research, equity and commodity at Globe Capital Market Ltd., provided insights on these investor queries and more on NDTV Profit's Ask Profit show.

Bajaj Housing Finance (CMP: Rs 118.25)

D'Cunha: Buy

  • With interest rates falling, housing finance stocks should be doing better.

  • The company has differentiated segments, smaller ticket sizes in Tier II towns.

Sharma: Buy

  • Present levels attractive to start accumulating the stock.

  • The stock hasn't reacted to US tariff-driven selloff.

  • Has a limited downside from here.

Bajaj Housing Finance Q4 Updates: Gross Disbursements Jump 25%

Asian Paints (CMP: Rs 2,411.15)

D'Cunha: Hold

  • Crude price movement has a little impact on raw materials.

  • The bigger challenge is the entry of large players in the paints section.

  • Competitors are lowering prices and have high quality products.

  • Competitive intensity may lead to falling margins.

  • From a year's perspective, things will be difficult.

  • Can't expect a huge upside.

  • Hold for three to five years as company enters interior decor space.

Varun Beverages (CMP: Rs 540.20)

D'Cunha: Too Early To Determine

  • Competition is difficult for new entrants.

  • Company stands on stronger footing as it is established.

  • Company expanded overseas, which is concerning.

  • Global slowdown may hit these overseas regions.

  • May hinder breaking even.

  • Too early to say

Sharma: Buy

  • Have been recommending this stock in the recent past.

  • See it heading towards Rs 600-660 levels in the near term.

  • Minor hurdle close to Rs 560-odd levels.

Welspun Living (CMP: Rs 113.47)

Sharma: Sell

  • As far as its recent performance is concerned, the stock slipped from Rs 140-odd levels and is trading at Rs 113 levels.

  • Things do not look good at current levels, as the stock may fall further.

  • Stop-loss can be kept at Rs 105.

Suzlon Energy (CMP: 51.21)

D'Cunha: Sell

  • Might see a decline in earnings.

  • Margin of safety practically zero with such a high multiple.

  • Unless you can see visibility on sustainability of operations, order books and profit margins, you're buying into expensive proposition.

  • From a risk-return basis, not a great opportunity.

  • Exit and look at stronger companies.

Sharma: Hold

  • More 10-15% odd decline is possible.

  • Hold with short-term view.

  • Add positions on dips.

  • Look for targets close to Rs 60 and beyond after that.
