Bajaj Finserv, Grasim, Titan To Be Included In Nifty 50 From April 2 

The NSE Nifty 50 Index will sport a new look from April 2.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd., and Titan Company Ltd. will be included in the benchmark index, the exchange said in a statement today.

Ambuja Cements Ltd., Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., and Bosch Ltd. will be excluded. With Bajaj Finserv's inclusion, the number of financial services firms in the Nifty will increase to 11, while Aurobindo Pharma's exit will bring down the number of pharma companies to four.

Here's what the sectoral weightages will look like after the announced changes.

The last round of Nifty changes took effect on Sept. 29 when Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Bajaj Finance Ltd., and United Phosphorus Ltd. were added, and Bank of Baroda, ACC Ltd., and Tata Motors DVR were excluded.

India Index Services and Products, a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange, also announced changes to Nifty Next 50, Nifty 100, Nifty Midcap 150, Nifty 500 and Nifty Smallcap 250 indices, among others. NSE's made the following replacements as part of its periodic review.
