Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Over Rs 57,300 Crore In Market Cap

The top 10 most-valued firms gained a cumulative Rs 57,301.6 crore in market valuation on Wednesday, with Bharti Airtel Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd. and State Bank of India emerging as the biggest gainers.

Airtel's market capitalisation rose Rs 24,435.1 crore to Rs 9.22 lakh crore, while that of RIL increased 18,539.4 crore to 15.9 lakh crore. SBI gained Rs 12,762.2 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 6.52 lakh crore.

Bajaj Finance Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. were among the top losers, with their market capitalisation slipping by Rs 17,780.7 crore and Rs 15,295.4 crore respectively.

RIL retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank Ltd., TCS, Airtel, ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., SBI, Bajaj Finance Ltd., HUL and ITC Ltd.

The benchmark equity indices ended Wednesday's session in the green, marking an end to the the longest losing streak in 29 years. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 254.6 points or 1.15% higher at 22,337.3, while the BSE Sensex closed 740.3 points or 1.01% higher at 73,730.2.
