(Bloomberg) -- U.S. President Donald Trump's company asked a federal judge to force a pay dispute with his former driver into arbitration and dismiss his lawsuit.
Noel Cintron, who served as Trump's personal driver for more than a quarter-century until the Secret Service took over, sued the Trump Organization last month, saying the billionaire developer didn't pay him overtime and raised his salary only twice in 15 years, clawing back the second raise by cutting off his health benefits.
Cintron sued for about 3,300 hours of overtime that he says he worked in the past six years. He's not allowed to sue for overtime prior to that due to the statute of limitations.
On Wednesday, Trump Organization said Cintron agreed to have any dispute regarding his employment resolved in arbitration. The company asked a judge to throw out the lawsuit or put it on hold while complaint is heard by a third party.
