The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a process for class 10 and 12 students to make it easier to access the DigiLocker accounts. Students will now be able to access their documents, including marksheets, via DigiLocker with a code-based activation mechanism.
This process is aimed at making it easier for students to access their marksheet and other documents directly from the DigiLocker website. The announcement by the CBSE was made days ahead of its possible move to declare the 2025 board exam results.
The CBSE board class 10 and 12 exam results 2025 are anticipated anytime soon. The introduction of DigiLocker's new access mechanism for marksheets suggests the results may be announced soon.
Under the new mechanism, the students will be able to access their DigiLocker accounts through a six-digit code.

“In order to further strengthen security & privacy of students' data, CBSE introduced a six-digit Access Code-based activation for students' Digilocker accounts,” the Board said in an official notification dated May 5.
Following the activation of their DigiLocker accounts, the students will be able to check their marksheet from the 'Issued Documents' section.
Notably, CBSE has been following the practice of sharing board exam results on the DigiLocker immediately after declaring the results for some years now. Students can get their results through the CBSE's digital academic repository, ‘Parinam Manjusha'.
Now, the new code-activation system aims to strengthen the process to boost security and privacy measures on the platform, according to CBSE.
"The result of the Board Exam-2025 is under preparation and it will be declared soon. The student-wise ‘Access Code' file is being made available to the schools in their DigiLocker accounts from which schools can download and disseminate ‘Access Code' to individual students," the notification read.
Once the schools receive the access code files, they have been instructed by the Board to share them with the students securely.

Read the instructions on the page. Then click "Get Started with Account Confirmation."
Enter your details: Choose your class (X or XII)
Enter your school code, roll number, and 6-digit access code
Confirm your details like phone number and date of birth (in case of class 12)
Click submit, after which you will be asked to enter OTP.
Your account is activated: Click “Go to DigiLocker account.”
After results are declared, go to the ‘issued documents' section to find the marksheet.
