The widely shared online announcement about the Integrated 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination is entirely fraudulent and deceptive, according to the Bihar Public Service Commission. Candidates are advised by the commission to rely solely on official channels for any updates regarding exams.
The commission said in a social media statement on X:
The so-called "Important Notice" being circulated on social media in the name of the Bihar Public Service Commission regarding the Integrated 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination and examinations proposed for the year 2026 is completely fake, misleading, and untrue."

"Candidates are requested to rely only on the information available on the Commission's official website and official social media platforms," the post further read.

According to the notification, a phoney notice purporting to be from the Bihar Public Service Commission is spreading misleading information about the proposed exams for 2026 on a number of social media platforms.
The material, according to the commission, is "completely false, misleading, and untrue." It said that the BPSC has not released any such information. Candidates and the general public have been asked by the commission to refrain from believing such unreliable and deceptive material and to refrain from sharing or propagating it in any way.
The commission announced earlier on July 18 that the 72nd preliminary examination, which was supposed to take place on July 26, had been postponed for unavoidable reasons. It further stated that the BPSC will soon publish the revised exam date.
