Railway Services Largely Unaffected
Suburban trains are running on schedule on the western line in Mumbai, according to an update from Western Railway’s official Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, trains on the suburban section of the Central Railway are running late by 10-12 minutes due to the showers, Sunil Udasi, chief public relations officer, told PTI.
Saturday Rain Update
Heavy rainfall hit Mumbai this morning, in line with the meterological department’s prediction. On Thursday, the IMD had forecast “heavy to very heavy" rainfall along the Maharashtra coast over the weekend.
"Heavy to very heavy rainfall was recorded in the suburbs till 8.30 a.m.," IMD Deputy Director KS Hosalikar told PTI.
Mumbai’s Mahim area is currently waterlogged, according to reports by news agency ANI.
