The BJP-led NDA is ahead in approximately 292 out of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, whereas the INDIA alliance is leading in more than 232 seats, as per the latest ECI data, which differ from the exit polls' forecasts of a significantly larger win for the NDA.
In the constituency of Vidisha, formerly known as Bhelsa, all eyes are on the contest between Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Pratap Bhanu Sharma of Indian National Congress. While Chouhan has won the seat five consecutive times before he became the chief minister of the state, Sharma has won the seat two times.

The 'Mamaji' of Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan could be returning to his old constituency after 20 years, when he was the CM of Madhya Pradesh. On the other hand, it has been more than three decades since Pratap Bhanu Sharma had a win from the constituency.
