Okhla Election Results: AAP's Amanatullah Khan Wins Against BJP's Manish Chaudhary
Delhi election results: Amanatullah Khan faced a challenge not only from the BJP, but also the AIMIM which led a high-octane campaign in Okhla.

Aam Aadmi Party's Amanatullah Khan has won the Okhla assembly seat in Delhi for a third consecutive time, as he defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Manish Chaudhary by a margin of over 23,600 votes.
Khan polled a total of 88,943 votes, as against 65,304 votes secured by Chaudhary, as per the data shared on the Election Commission of India's website.
Okhla was one of the seats in focus as All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi led a high-octane campaign from the seat against the AAP and the BJP. AIMIM had issued the ticket to Shifa-ur-Rehman, an activist who is presently jailed after being accused in the 2020 Delhi riots case.
The AIMIM candidate emerged third, with a total of 39,558 votes. Congress candidate Ariba Khan stood a distant fourth with 12,739 votes, the ECI data showed.

The saffron party has secured a two-third majority, winning 48 out of the 70 assembly seats. Its tally has meteorically risen as compared to 2020, when it had won only eight seats.
The AAP managed to win only 22 constituencies, marking a sharp slide as compared to 62 seats it won in the last assembly polls. Meanwhile, the Congress drew a third consecutive blank in the Delhi assembly polls.
The elections in Delhi came in the backdrop of the federal agencies' probe into the now-scrapped liquor policy of the AAP government. Senior party leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are accused in the case.
