Devandra Fadnvais Swearing-In Ceremony: Date, Time, Venue And Where To Watch
Shiv Sena Shinde faction head and ex-Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde is set to swear in as a Deputy CM.

Devendra Fadnavis has been proposed to take office as the 21st chief minister of Maharashtra in a grand ceremony on Dec. 5, with several prominent political leaders and dignitaries. BJP core committee, in a meeting with Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani as observers, selected Fadnavis as the legislative party head.
As per PTI sources, Shiv Sena Shinde faction head and ex-Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde is set to swear in as a Deputy CM, alongside Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar, thus appointing all Mahayuti stalwarts in major positions in the Maharashtra government.
Fadnavis and Shinde are now expected to meet Governor CP Radhakrishnan to stake claim to form the next government in the state. This will be the former's second stint as the chief minister.
Ahead of the legislature party meeting, BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar said the Mahayuti partners will meet Governor C P Radhakrishnan at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday to stake a claim to form a government in the state.
Earlier, the state BJP unit had confirmed that the new Mahayuti government will be sworn in on December 5 in Mumbai.
The Mahayuti alliance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) retained power with a landslide victory in the assembly elections, the results of which were announced on November 23.
While the simple majority figure in the 288-member House is 145, the BJP alone bagged 132 seats, followed by Shiv Sena with 57 and NCP with 41 seats.

The swearing-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis as Maharashtra Chief Minister will take place on December 5 at 5 p.m. at the Azad Maidan ground in south Mumbai. Prime Minister Modi will attend the ceremony.

The oath-taking ceremony of designated Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis will be telecast live on all television channels of NDTV group. The YouTube channel of NDTV Profit will also live stream the ceremony.
Preparations are in full swing for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on Thursday at the Azad Maidan in south Mumbai, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as nearly 2,000 VVIPs and 40,000 supporters. Several Union ministers and 19 chief ministers and deputy CMs of various states are also expected to attend the ceremony.
BJP leader Prasad Lad has said the ceremony will be a 'historic moment' for Maharashtra. "The event will be telecast live across the state wherever LED screens are available," he said.
