Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Rahul Gandhi Wins Both Wayanad And Raebareli Seats

Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has won the majority of votes in both Wayanad and Raebareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh, for the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

In the Kerala constituency, Gandhi was fighting with Communist Party of India leader Annie Raja and BJP's K Surendran.
In Wayanad, Gandhi won 6,47,445 votes as against Raja's 2,83,023 votes, according to Election Commission data. This was a margin of 3,64,422 votes.
Gandhi had contested and lost the 2009 and 2014 elections. He won the 2019 general elections, with a margin of 4,31,770 votes. The constituency had 13,59,679 eligible voters in 2019. The voter turnout was 80.37%.
Raebareli
Gandhi has won against Bharatiya Janata Party's Dinesh Pratap Singh for the seat. Raebareli has been a Congress stronghold. The Congress leader won 6,87,649 votes, as against Singh's 2,97,619 votes—a margin of 3,90,030 votes according to Election Commission of India.
In the 2019 elections, the Congress, represented by Sonia Gandhi, won with a total of 5,34,918 votes. The voter turnout was 56.34%.
