MK Stalin, president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, said Tuesday he sees no chances for a non-Bharatiya Janata Party, non-Congress "third front" after Lok Sabha election results are declared, but a decision could be taken only after May 23.

Stalin's remarks came a day after Telangana Rashtra Samithi supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekara Rao, who has been pushing for a non-Congress, non-BJP front of regional parties, called on the DMK chief in Chennai.

Stalin, also Tamil Nadu's Leader of Opposition, said Rao hadn't visited the state for forging alliances. "He came to Tamil Nadu to offer prayers in various temples, and on that basis, sought an appointment with me for a courtesy call,” he told reporters in Chennai. “That's all.”

Rao visited the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam before meeting Stalin.
