Aam Aadmi's Delhi Hands Another Loss To BJP
Arvind Kejriwal secured a third term as Delhi chief minister after his Aam Aadmi Party got a decisive mandate winning 62 out of the 70 seats.
The Bharatiya Janata Party won eight seats, better than the three it had won in the previous assembly election. This was the third straight state election loss for the BJP since it came to power in the Centre in May 2019. The Congress failed to win any seats—a repeat of the previous poll.

Kejriwal accepted the victory saying that the results were a win for a new kind of politics—one that focusses on work. He was congratulated by top political leaders of the country for a resounding victory.
Other key candidates for AAP including Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Atishi, too, secured victories despite trailing earlier in the day.
