Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey on Wednesday was given the additional charge as the Secretary of the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance, as approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
This move was part of a top-level bureaucratic rejig undertaken in two key departments under the finance ministry ahead of the Union Budget 2025.
Pandey takes over from Arunish Chawla, who subsequently replaced him as the secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management under the Ministry of Finance.
Chawla will also hold an additional charge of the post of secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises and Secretary, Ministry of Culture until the appointment of a regular incumbent according to the order.
