Fresh Covid-19 infections in India fell below 35,000 after six days, even as concerns over a third wave of the pandemic persist.
India added 32,937 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 3.2 crore in the world’s second-most populous country, according to the Health Ministry’s update on Aug. 16, 2021.
Daily recoveries continued to exceed daily infections, taking the country's active caseload to 3.81 lakh.
