India’s fresh Covid-19 cases rose from a day earlier but stayed below the 1,000-mark.

India reported 811 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to an 8 a.m. update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country saw 1,271 recoveries with 2 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Higher recoveries than additions caused India's active Covid-19 tally to drop to 13,559.
