The government of Maharashtra has imposed new restrictions on the functioning of offices, public and private transport and inter-city movement, that will remain in force throughout the state from 8 p.m. on April 22 to 7 a.m. on May 1, according to an order issued by the Chief Secretary.
All government offices to operate at 15% attendance except for emergency services directly connected to the management of Covid-19.
Marriage ceremony may be conducted only as a single event in a single hall not extending beyond 2 hours with a maximum of 25 persons in attendance.
Private passenger transport, excluding buses, can ply only for emergency or essential services or valid reasons, with driver plus 50% of the seating capacity.
Inter-district or inter-city travel is allowed only if required for performing an essential service or in case of emergencies.
Government-owned and private buses can ply with 50% of seating capacity with no standing travelers.
Government and medical personnel, people in need of medical treatment, specially abled persons and the ones accompanying the needy will be allowed to use local trains, metro and mono rails.
All conditions, other than the ones specified in the new order, will be in accordance with the government order dated April 13, 2021.
