Supermarket chain V2 Retail Ltd. has outperformed larger peers in the last one month.
Shares of the retailer with operations in north and east India rose 35.85 percent during the period, ahead of D-Mart's parent Avenue Supermarts Ltd. and Future Retail Ltd. that runs Big Bazaar outlets.
And it still cheaper than rivals. V2 Retail trades at 3.57 times its book value, a discount of 80 percent to Avenue Supermarts and 64 percent to Kishore Biyani's Future Retail.
Revenue rose 31.5 percent to Rs 142 crore for the quarter ended June over a year ago while net profit jumped 85 percent to Rs 8.7 crore, according to the company's filings on Tuesday.
