Indian stocks' valuation premium over developing-nation equities climbed to the highest in 15 months on Tuesday.

While an economy that still boasts one of the world's fastest growth rates has been a magnet for investors, tepid earnings outlook relative to other emerging markets has accentuated the gap. The last time the nation's stocks were this rich versus its peers, in January 2016, the S&P BSE Sensex got off to the worst start to a year since 2011.
