Mobile video and media company Vuclip today said it will provide the technology, product, analytics and content aggregation engine for the video section of the Airtel's Re 1-entertainment store.
Announced and launched August 16 this year, Airtel's entertainment store provides a host of services like music, games, photos and videos and has over 10 million consumers accessing the site. The video section allows Airtel customers to enjoy videos starting at just Re 1 per video.
The video section of Airtel Re 1-entertainment store runs on Vuclip's Dynamic Adaptive TranscodingTM technology, which seamlessly streams video on real-time basis without buffering on any device and on any network, Vuclip said in a release.
In countries such as India, mobile penetration far surpasses Internet access and this store will ensure that anyone who wants to watch videos through the mobile Internet will be able to do so, it added.
Vuclip reaches to over 80 million unique users monthly around the world. The California-headquartered firm has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Ottawa.
