Syndicate Bank raises NRI deposit rates by 1 per cent

State-owned Syndicate Bank said on Wednesday that it has made upward revision of the rate of interest on foreign currency and non-resident (FCNR) banks for US dollar deposits of 3 to 5 years by 1 per cent, effective from August 22.

State-owned Syndicate Bank said on Wednesday that it has made upward revision of the rate of interest on foreign fixed deposits, or foreign currency and non-resident (FCNR) bank deposits, of 3 to 5 years by 1 per cent.

The bank said the new rates will take effect from August 22.

The bank in a statement said the rate of interest on FCNR (B) deposits in US dollar of 3 to 5 years has been increased by 1 per cent.

The revised interest for 3 years is 4.78 per cent, 4 years is 5.17 per cent and 5 years is 5.56 per cent, it added.
