Bharti Airtel -- country's largest telecom company -- is offering a cashback of Rs 400 on a recharge of Rs 399 for its prepaid customers, said the operator on microblogging website, Twitter. Telecom companies in the country are offering a host of discounts and cashback almost on a daily basis to attract customers and increase their user base and average revenue per user. Recently, Reliance Jio also announced a cashback of Rs. 500 to customers purchasing a new JioFi device and a postpaid connection. However, Airtel's cashback offer is only valid on the My Airtel App.

Under the Rs 399 plan, Airtel is offering 1.4 GB per day data for a period of 70 days. The pack also offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls along with 100 SMSes per day.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio also announced a cashback of Rs. 500 to customers purchasing a new JioFi device and a postpaid connection. Reliance Jio will credit the cashback amount of Rs. 500 in the postpaid account of eligible customers. The JioFi device, which is a Wi-Fi router device, is priced at Rs. 999. That means a cashback of Rs. 500 brings down the effective price of the device for the customer to Rs. 499.
Last month, Idea Cellular also came up with an offer of 100 per cent cashback to Idea Nirvana postpaid customers subscribing to the Sony Liv app, on the back of ongoing FIFA World Cup. The cashback worth Rs 150 will be equally divided in the next three bills on successfully subscribing to the Sony Liv app, the company said.
