Majority of shareholders removed former CEO Phaneesh Murthy for 'cause' from the iGATE Corp board by written consent in lieu of a meeting.
Mr Murthy's removal is effective from June 7, 2013.
The move comes two weeks after Mr Murthy was sacked by the IT outsourcing company over an undisclosed relationship with a subordinate.
