Non-essential public workers in Denmark will be forced to take five days of vacation so that more staff can be made available once the coronavirus crisis subsides, Tax Minister Morten Bodskov said Friday.
Affected workers will be asked to take time off between March 29 and April 13, the day in which the current restrictions are due to expire.

The ministry didn't immediately specify how many workers would be affected.
Denmark has shuttered schools, much of the public sector and non-essential private businesses to contain the spread of the virus. The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 totals 2,010 in Denmark, with an additional 144 cases recorded in the Faroe Islands and nine in Greenland, according to the latest official count.
