Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has invited industries to engage with the government over where greater action, policy and facilitation are required.
“The government will be willing to engage with industry to understand how speedily we need to act, how rigorously we will have to be removing hurdles, and above all, how various aspects of reforms can continue to be undertaken,” she said in a virtual speech at Ashwamedh-Elara India Dialogue 2022. “We earnestly request industries to ensure that the channel of communication with the government is kept up.”
The next 25 years, Sitharaman said, will be very critical for India. The Ministry of Finance will be working on a pathway which will be predictable and consistent and will give every stimulus required for the growth of the Indian economy.

According to Sitharaman, “sunrise sectors” have benefited from the government's incentive scheme. The technology-driven industries are crucial.
“Industry response to PLI [is] positive,” she said. “Segments of industries are now willing to move to India. The government is working together with states to make sure they are brought in facilitated with a plug and play model.”
Digital Payment And Infra
The minister said clear ingress is being made due to digital technology. “The digital payment revolution will be taken forward with greater zest.”
Ease of doing business will have to be a continuous exercise.
Infrastructure will take a greater priority through greater coordination with PM Gati Shakti, Sitharaman said. The PM Gati Shakti will help enable existing infrastructure facilities to be integrated with hinterlands.
