NIIT Ltd. surged to as much as 4.9 percent to Rs 102.35 after the managed training services provider announced the acquisition of Bengaluru-based start-up Perceptron Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will enable NIIT to accelerate its digital transformation initiatives like āStackRoute', ādigiNxt', and āTraining.com', the company said in a press release. NIIT will also gain access to Perceptron's next generation learning platform, Ilimi.

NIIT has also announced the appointment of Perceptron Co-Founder and Chief Executive Office Satish Sukumar as the Chief Technology Officer of the company's full stack product engineering initiative āStackRoute Labs.'
