Popular Nepalese rum brand Khukri has officially entered the Indian market, marking a significant expansion for the internationally acclaimed spirit. MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has introduced the rum in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Maharashtra, with plans to extend its reach to ten cities by the end of FY26.

Produced by Nepal’s first distillery and revered as the 'rum from the top of the world,' Khukri boasts a 65-year-old Himalayan legacy. Distilled from Nepalese sugarcane and pure Himalayan waters, the rum undergoes a unique aging process in Shorea Robusta casks, imparting exceptional depth and complexity. The launch is expected to elevate India’s rum market by offering a premium alternative rooted in craftsmanship and tradition.

Varieties And Price

Khukri is debuting in India with three distinct expressions, catering to diverse palates—Khukri XXX Rum, Khukri Spiced Rum and Khukri White Rum.

Khukri's pricing varies across states:

  • Uttar Pradesh: Rs 1,730 for XXX Rum and Rs 2,130 for Spiced Rum.

  • Maharashtra: Rs 1,765 for XXX Rum and Rs 1,975 for Spiced & White Rum.

  • Goa: Rs 1,600 for all variants.
