State-owned National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has bagged contracts worth Rs
387 crore during last month.
In a regulatory filing, NBCC today informed that the "company has secured total business amounting Rs 386.78 crore (approx) from various clients in the month of August, 2015".
NBCC posted a 31.5 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 44.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30, as against Rs 33.52 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income from operations also rose by 37 per cent to Rs 1,149.25 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal from Rs 840.76 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
NBCC is present in three main segments -- Project Management Consultancy (PMC), real estate and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC contracting).
