Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) on Friday announced appointment of former Vodafone chief executive officer (CEO) Michel Combes as its new CEO for Europe region.
"Alcatel-Lucent's board of directors has today approved the appointment of Mr Combes as the company's new CEO, effective April 1, 2013," ALU said in a statement on Friday.
Before joining ALU, Mr Combes has been CEO for Europe region of Vodafone since October 2008 and a board member of Vodafone Plc since June 2009.
Mr Combes will replace ALU CEO Ben Verwaayen who resigned in February.
ALU also announced appointment of former Bell Canada Enterprises chairman and CEO Jean C Monty as vice-Chairman of its company Board.
