L&T Construction Wins Orders Worth Rs 1,458 Crore

L&T Construction won orders worth Rs 1,458 crore across various business segments.

L&T Construction, the construction arm of Larsen and Toubro Ltd. has won orders worth Rs 1,458 crore across various business segments.

Power Transmission and Distribution

The business has won orders worth Rs 654 crore in both international and domestic markets. In the international market, it has received a contract from the National Grid Saudi Arabia to construct a 132 kV double circuit transmission line and a 132 kV cabling in the Rafah, Arar, and Sakaka areas of the country.

In the domestic market, it has won one order from the Kanpur Electricity Supply Co Ltd. for an urban electrification project, and another from Power Grid Corporation of India for the construction of gas-insulated substations in Vadodara, Navasari, Pune, and Gwalior.

Building And Factories

This business has won orders worth Rs 518 crore in the domestic market. These include a contract from a reputed paint manufacturing company to build a new facility in Karnataka. It also received a contract to build a residential project in Bengaluru.

Smart World and Communication Business

Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation has awarded L&T an order worth Rs 200 crore to implement a Wi-Fi project in premier academic institutions.

The company has also bagged additional orders worth Rs 860 crore for various other ongoing projects.

Shares fell nearly a percent to Rs 1,498 a piece as of 10:40 am on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
