L&T Tech Services to Acquire Dell's Engineering Services Business

Mumbai: L&T Technology Services, a wholly-owned arm of engineering major Larsen & Toubro Group, on Wednesday said it will be acquiring the assets of the US-based Dell Product & Process Innovation Services (formerly eServ), the engineering services division of Dell.. While the deal has been approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the company is awaiting US regulatory approvals which are expected shortly, the city-based company said in a statement issued from Peoria, Illinois, US. The deal is likely to be closed this quarter itself. The company did not disclose the value of the deal.. The strategic acquisition will strengthen L&T Technology Services' global position in the $4 billion transportation engineering research & development market and will help widen its reach in with the new local delivery center in North America.. Dell Engineering Services has delivery centers in Hyderabad and Bangalore as well..
