KEC International Wins Orders Worth Rs 2,211 Crore Across Various Businesses

KEC International's year-to-date order intake following the new deals now stands at over Rs 4,200 crore, a robust growth of 40% compared to last year.

KEC International Ltd. on Wednesday announced it has secured new orders of Rs 2,211 crore across various businesses. The business has secured orders for transmission and distribution projects in the Middle East and the Americas, according to a stock exchange filing.

These include designing, supplying and installing 380 kV overhead transmission lines in Saudi Arabia and supplying of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.

In the oil and gas pipeline vertical, the company has secured its second international order for terminal station works in Africa in addition to its ongoing pipeline laying project in the region.

"The large order wins in Saudi Arabia have further strengthened our international T&D order book. These wins reaffirm the MENA region’s strategic importance as a key growth driver for us. Our subsidiary, SAE Towers has secured a significant tower supply order in Mexico, reflecting an uptick in the North American T&D market," said CEO Vimal Kejriwal.

He also said the company's year-to-date order intake following the new deals now stands at over Rs 4,200 crore, a robust growth of 40% compared to last year.

During its fourth-quarter results last month, KEC International informed that its FY25 order intake rose 36% year-on-year to Rs 24,689 crore with 44% being international deals. The current order book and L1 position stood at over Rs 40,000 crore.

Income from the transmission and distribution business rose 28% to Rs 4,328 crore in the fourth quarter, while revenue from the non-T&D segment declined 5% to Rs 2,877 crore.

Notably, among sub-segments, revenue from renewables more than doubled to Rs 361 crore.

Shares of KEC International were trading 1.16% higher at Rs 880.35 apiece on the BSE at 3:00 p.m., compared to a 0.36% gain in the benchmark Sensex.
