Jet Airways, Air India Offer Discounts as Fare War Hots Up

Jet Airways is offering 5 per cent discount on base fare in economy class on select domestic flights. This applies to travel between January 16, 2016 and April 23, 2016.

It is offering 10 per cent on flights from India to select international destinations. Under this offer, travel must commence on or after January 11, 2016. Bookings for the Jet Airways offers end today. 

National carrier Air India is offering discount of 5 per cent in economy class and 10 per cent in executive class on basic fare for all domestic bookings made through the its website and app.

Air India is also offering discount on select overseas routes.

SpiceJet had yesterday announced a 'Happy New Year Sale', offering tickets as low as Rs 716 (excluding taxes). The bookings for this SpiceJet offer will remain open till midnight of December 31, 2015.

This offer is applicable on SpiceJet's domestic network and covers travel period from January 15, 2016 to April 12 2016. Fares vary from sector to sector depending on the travel distance and flight schedules and timings.
