With any eye of overseas markets, Indian mobile phone maker Micromax has roped in Hollywood star Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador.
"As we look to expand our footprint across the globe in various international markets, the association with Hugh Jackman is an ideal partnership for us to connect with audiences," Micromax's chief marketing officer Shubhodip Pal said in a statement.
Micromax is the first Indian mobile company to have roped in a Hollywood star as its brand ambassador.
"I am a huge lover of India as it is one of the most exciting countries in the world and we also share our love for cricket. Phones are genuinely time saving devices that can help you live a better life while juggling around with different situations," the Hollywood star said.
The X-Men star, who's famous for essaying the role of 'Wolverine' on screen, will be seen endorsing the Canvas series of smartphones from Micromax. The association would start with the new Micromax smartphone - Canvas Turbo, to be launched soon in the Indian market, Micromax said.
