Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) today announced that its compact sedan Amaze has crossed one lakh sales milestone, 16 months after it was launched in the Indian market.
"Honda Amaze has witnessed great success in the Indian market and the one lakh sales milestone only validates its strong presence," Jnaneswar Sen, HCIL Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, said in a statement.
Honda entered the diesel car segment with the Amaze and it became fastest in HCIL history since its inception in the Indian market to cross the milestone, the company said.
"Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to a whole new set of customers," Mr Sen said.
Powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine and 1.2-litre petrol engine, the Amaze is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
