GATE 2015 or Graduate Aptitude Test examination results will be declared on March 12. IIT or the Indian Institute of Technology will publish the result at 5 pm on the official GATE website.
GATE primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science.
Candidates can go to the GATE 2015 website and click on the Result tab under the Post Exam category to check their results. To view the results, candidates will have to type in either then GATE registration number or roll number and their date of birth.
GATE score is used for admissions to various post-graduate programs like Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Doctor of Philosophy in Indian higher education institutes, with financial assistance provided by Ministry of Human Resource Development and other government agencies.
GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
