FPIs Stay Net Sellers For The Third Straight Day

Overseas investors remained net sellers for the third day in a row on Friday.

Foreign portfolio investors net sold equities worth Rs 2,899.68 crore, as per data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors were net buyers for the fourth day in a row, purchasing equities worth Rs 299.1 crore.

Institutions have net sold Rs 4469.34 crore worth of equities so far in September and Rs 37,952.42 crore worth of Indian equities till date in 2022.

On Friday, the Sensex lost 1,021 points or 1.73% to close at 58,098.92 on the BSE. That marked the worst day in the week ended Sept. 23. While the Nifty 50 shed over 300 points or 1.72% to end at 17,327.35 on the NSE.
