FPIs Remain Net Sellers For Second Day In A Row

Overseas investors remained net sellers in the stock market for the second straight day.

Foreign portfolio investors net sold equities worth Rs 844.78 crore on Monday, according to data from the National Stock Exchange. FPIs were net sellers on Friday as well.

Domestic institutional investors also sold stocks worth Rs 72.26 crore on Monday.

Institutions have net bought Rs 968.9 crore worth of equities in July alone and net sold Rs 51,449.1 crore so far this year.

On Monday, stock benchmarks snapped their six-session winning streak due to losses in auto, energy, and oil & gas. The Sensex shed over 300 points. The Nifty 50 dropped by 0.53%, ending its longest winning streak in nine months.
