FPIs Remain Net Buyers For Fifth Straight Day

Overseas investors remained net buyers of Indian equities for the fifth day in a row on Wednesday, making it the longest buying streak since March 29 this year.

Foreign portfolio investors net bought equities worth Rs 765.2 crore on Wednesday, according to data from the National Stock Exchange.

On the other hand, domestic institutional investors net sold equities worth Rs 518.42 crore on Wednesday.

Institutions have net bought 2,687.72 crore worth of equities so far in August and net sold equities worth Rs 45,751.97 in 2022.

Institutions net bought Rs 3,978.31 crore worth of equities in July, the first month of inflows this year.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 214 points on Friday to close at 58,350. The Nifty 50 ended at 17,388. It was the sixth straight session of gains for the benchmarks.
