Ousted Tata Sons chairman, Cyrus Mistry, has put out yet another statement, this time targeting Tata Sons director, Vijay Singh. Mistry claims, Singh who had endorsed a very glowing review of his leadership at Tata Sons, as recently as June 2016, is now “concocting theories'' to defend his role in “Ratan Tata's conspiracy to remove Cyrus Mistry”.

Mistry goes on to cite a number of media articles on Vijay Singh, raising questions over his sense of propriety. Singh is a former bureaucrat who retired as the Defence Secretary in 2007. He is also one of the Tata Trusts' nominated members on the Tata Sons board.

Singh, in an interview to a newspaper, had refuted Cyrus Mistry's claims of ''undue interest'' being taken by Tata Trusts in Tata Sons' functioning.

He is also considered to be close to Ratan Tata, and had chaired the fateful meeting on October 24, when Cyrus Mistry was removed as the chairman of Tata Sons.
