Bharti Infratel gained nearly 3 per cent to hit intraday high of Rs 375 after the Reserve Bank of India allowed foreign institutional investors to invest upto 49 per cent of the paid up capital under portfolio investment scheme.
The permission from the RBI came after the board of directors of the company passed a resolution by the shareholders, agreeing for enhancing the limit for the purchase of its equity shares.
The stock came off the intraday high levels and was trading higher by nearly 1 per cent at Rs 368.
