Arun Mammen MD Of MRF, Elected Automotive Tyre Manufacturer's Association Chairman
As the national industry body for the automotive tyre sector in India, ATMA plays a crucial role in shaping the country's tyre industry.

Arun Mammen, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of MRF Ltd, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association, effective immediately. He succeeds Arnab Banerjee, managing director and chief executive officer of CEAT Ltd.
Mammen's appointment comes at a significant time, as ATMA celebrates its Golden Jubilee year in 2025. The organization has also appointed Hiroshi Yoshizane, MD of Bridgestone India, as its new Vice Chairman.
As the national industry body for the automotive tyre sector in India, ATMA plays a crucial role in shaping the country's tyre industry. Mammen's leadership is expected to enhance the industry's global presence and competitiveness.
On his new role, Mammen said the Indian tyre industry should have plans in place to be a major global supplier during the decade and he would work towards policy enablers so as to make industry more competitive and technologically superior to meet the needs of developed countries.
Mammen was appointed Md of MRF Ltd in 2004 and Vice Chairman and Managing Director in 2017. He is a graduate from the Madras Christian College, and also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Ashland University, US.
