Adani-Run Guwahati Airport Logs 7.7% Growth In FY25, Sees Record Foreign Passenger Footfall
The Guwahati airport also logged a cargo growth of 183.9% during the financial year 2024-25.

The Adani Airports-managed Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati achieved 7.67% growth in fiscal year 2024-25, according to a release.
The airport successfully managed 6.57 million passengers, with 3.26 million domestic arrivals and 3.3 million domestic departures.
The international passenger footfall recorded by the airport touched an all-time high of 91,594, the release stated.
On Dec. 12 2024, the airport achieved a single-day record, serving 21,444 passengers, including transit travellers.
Notably, LGBI Airport has expanded its international route network, and has introduced direct flights to Bhutan's Paro, Malaysia, and Singapore, contributing to increased international passenger traffic and Aircraft Traffic Movements or ATMs.
The airport recorded 45,409 domestic ATMs and 1,009 international ATMs.
The airport has also launched three new domestic routes: Guwahati-Ahmedabad, Guwahati Durgapur, and Guwahati-Ziro, intended to enhance connectivity and fostering trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
LGBI Airport achieved substantial growth in cargo, with 12,893 metric tonnes of cargo handled in fiscal 2025, compared to 4,550 MT in fiscal 2024, marking an impressive 183.9% increase year-on-year, the highest volume processed.
Notably, the airport handled 225 metric tonnes of perishable cargo in December 2024, among the highest-ever volumes managed in a month.
In recognition of its commitment to exceptional customer experiences, LGBI Airport attained Level 2 of the Airports Council International Airport Customer Experience Accreditation.
